The Sauna Package, developed together with Narvi, is the heart of the TelttaSaana sauna. We have strived to create a sauna heater with as few compromises as possible.

Narvi's domestic wood-burning stove has been designed from the ground up for tent saunas. Its structure combines a large stone mass and efficient combustion, which produces up to 16 kW of heat output – enough to keep the sauna hot and humid even in freezing temperatures. The stove is sized to meet the special conditions of a tent: high heat output, good ventilation and placing the stone surface as low as possible. Compact but efficient – the stove is easy to carry and offers an authentic Finnish sauna experience anywhere.

What does the heater package include?
Narvin Tent Sauna Heater – efficient, durable and easy to maintain
The Narvi tent sauna heater is designed for Finnish conditions, where the sauna must heat up quickly and produce even, moist heat even in severe frosts. The heater utilizes a flue gas circulation system , where hot flue gases are directed through the stone mass as efficiently as possible. This improves heat recovery and ensures that every piece of firewood is utilized to the maximum.
The sauna heater is equipped with a secondary fire system , where unburned gases are re-ignited in the upper part of the sauna heater. This increases heat output, reduces emissions and reduces wood consumption. The result is a sauna heater that reaches up to 16 kW of heat output , heats the sauna quickly and keeps the steam level constant for a long time.
Spare parts – such as grates and hatches – can be found in most Finnish hardware stores and department stores.
Stone basket
The Narvi Tent Sauna heater has a stone basket capacity of up to 35 kg . This is exceptionally high for a tent sauna, and it is one of the reasons why the saunas are truly Finnish – smooth, moist and warm from head to toe.
The importance of stone mass in a sauna heater
The stone mass acts as the heater's heat storage. The more stones there are in the heater, the more thermal energy they can store and slowly release as steam. This brings three clear advantages:
– The large number of stones binds heat and releases it evenly, so the sauna does not feel sharp but pleasantly soft.
– When there is sufficient stone mass, the temperature remains stable and does not fluctuate, even if the heater is not constantly heated.
– The large stone mass acts like a heat accumulator, ensuring that the sauna stays warm even when it is very cold outside and the doors are opened frequently.
Hot water tank (10 L)
The 10-liter hot water tank that comes with the Narvin Tent Sauna heater uses the heat generated by the heater to heat water. The tank is made of durable stainless steel and has a capacity that is more than enough for washing.
The tank attaches directly to the heater, allowing it to heat up quickly, making it a practical and energy-efficient solution – whether you're at the cottage, on a hike, or at an event.
Stainless steel chimney and chimney cap
Chimney
The chimney used in the tent sauna heater is made of stainless steel and designed to withstand heavy use and outdoor conditions. The chimney diameter is 123 mm , which corresponds to the general standard - this makes it easy to obtain spare parts if necessary.
Spare parts for Narvi heaters can be found in most hardware stores and department stores . Grates, hatches and chimney parts are common and easily available, so the life of the heater can be extended for years without special orders or long waiting times.
Sauna heater package FAQ
How quickly does the sauna heat up?
The sauna usually heats up with 1–2 firewood stacks, or about 25–40 minutes, depending on the conditions and weather. The Narvi heater's efficient 16 kW power ensures fast and even heating even in cold temperatures.
What firewood do you recommend?
We recommend using dry hardwoods such as birch, alder or aspen. They ignite well and burn evenly. Avoid fresh or damp wood, as it smokes more and reduces heating efficiency.
Can I install the heater myself?
Yes – assembly is quick and the instructions are clear.
How much wood is needed for one sauna session?
About 2–4 nests are enough for a sauna session.
Can the heater be used in winter?
Absolutely – it is designed to work even in temperatures below -30°C.
